Website maintenance and ongoing changes
Your website may need attention after launch. We can maintain it, update content and add new sections. We agree in advance which work we will handle and how you can reach us.
Discuss your plansMaintenance is optional. The agreement depends on your website and the support you need.
What we can take care of
We tailor maintenance to your website’s technology and use. The agreement specifies the checks and changes included, who is responsible for each part and how we handle new requests.
If someone else built the website, we first check whether we can maintain it and whether any preparatory work is needed.
Technical maintenance
The agreed checks and updates, suited to the website. We specify which parts we maintain and what remains with you or another supplier.
Content updates and additions
We can update copy, replace an image or add a page. The agreement defines the allowance for this work; larger requests are quoted separately.
Checks after a change
We check the changed parts and affected features. Backup and recovery arrangements are documented where applicable.
A contact for support
You know how to report a problem or ask a question, when we are available and how we will keep you informed.
Setting up your maintenance agreement
Your existing website and maintenance needs determine the work.
Reviewing the website and access
We review the technology and current maintenance arrangements. Any work needed to take over the website is agreed separately.
Working within the agreement
We carry out the agreed checks, updates and changes. Additional requests are discussed in terms of scope, cost and timing first.
Checking and reporting back
We check the affected areas and report on the work as agreed. If your needs change, we review the maintenance arrangements.
Giving a new page a clear place
This example uses our own service pages: Visual identity appears in the overview and links to the relevant explanation. When extending a website, we also consider how visitors reach the new content and continue their journey.
- The updated page and the links leading to it.
- Features that may be affected, such as a form.
- Backups and recovery options under the agreement for your website.
Requesting a change
- The page involved, the requested change and any timing requirements.
- Final copy and images, unless creating them is part of our agreement.
- Current access and a contact person who can answer questions.
The terms of your maintenance agreement
The agreement defines the work, allowance for changes, availability and responsibilities. It does not automatically include unlimited changes or round-the-clock support. New features, extensive copywriting and ongoing SEO are scoped when needed.
Costs for hosting, email and other external services are listed separately. We record who manages them and how to report problems. Any repairs needed before taking over receive a separate proposal.
Keeping access to your website
Your domain and main accounts remain in your name. We record the access we use for maintenance and make sure you have the agreed files and information.
If the arrangement changes or ends, we coordinate handover under the agreement. You will know what work remains in progress and who takes over responsibility.
Questions about maintenance
Is maintenance mandatory with a new website?
No. At handover, we explain what is needed and who can handle it. You can carry out the agreed tasks yourself, ask us or work with another provider.
Can you take over maintenance of an existing website?
We first check whether we can support the technology, what access is available and what is needed to start responsibly. Any initial repairs are agreed separately.
What support do you need after launch?
Send your website link and tell us what you want to manage yourself and what you would like us to handle. We can then discuss a suitable arrangement.
