Improve your existing website

Is your copy unclear, a page difficult to use on mobile, or important information hard to find? We investigate the problem and improve the parts we agree on together, after checking what your current website allows.

Discuss your plans

The work can focus on content, usability, speed or search visibility.

A review followed by agreed improvements

You receive an explanation of the problem and a proposal for the changes we can make. We implement the selected improvements and check the parts of the website they affect.

Some findings need further investigation. We distinguish observed problems from assumptions.

Findings with examples

We review the agreed part of the website and show where the problem occurs, such as unclear copy, a difficult menu or a slow page.

A prioritised proposal

We discuss which changes would be useful and feasible. The proposal explains the work involved and what could wait.

The agreed improvements

We update the selected parts, which may include copy and page structure, mobile layouts, technical work or search engine optimisation.

Checks and an explanation

We review the updated parts and check affected links and features. We explain what changed and identify any remaining issues.

Finding the cause before making changes

Understand the cause and priority first, then make focused changes.

  1. Reviewing your question and technology

We review the problem, website and available access to establish what work we can responsibly carry out.

  2. Choosing and making changes

We prioritise the findings and agree on the changes. You see what changes as we work; additional work is discussed in advance.

  3. Retesting and handing over

We retest the affected pages and features, and explain the changes and any remaining limitations.

A clearer way to get in touch

On our own website, uncertainty about scope used to lead to a separate website plan. Visitors can now send a question directly, with ordinary preparation included. Additional paid discovery is explained separately. After a change like this, we check both the wording and the journey that follows.

  • The updated content and its related links.
  • The affected layouts and features on desktop and mobile.
  • Measurements relevant to the problem, where available and useful.

Show us where the problem occurs

  • The URL and a description of the problem you want investigated.
  • The required access and details of anyone else managing the website.
  • Available material and one contact person for questions and feedback.

Agreeing which parts to improve

The proposal describes the review and selected work. A full rebuild, new features or further rounds of research are included only when specified. We assess whether the existing technical setup supports the work before starting.

SEO can be part of an improvement project. We do not guarantee rankings, visitor numbers or enquiries, which also depend on factors beyond the changes.

Understanding what has changed

At handover, we explain what was changed, what was checked and what remains unresolved. Files or access associated with the work are handed over as agreed.

Further improvements or ongoing maintenance require a separate agreement. SEO is already included when we build a new website, including a landing page.

Questions about website improvements

Can you improve a website built by someone else?

We assess that first. We need to be able to support the technology and obtain the right access. If a change cannot be made responsibly, we explain why and discuss an alternative.

Can the improvement project focus on SEO?

Yes. We can review and improve existing content, page structure or technical search accessibility within an agreed project. Standard SEO setup is already included in websites we build.

What would you like to improve?

Send your website link and describe the problem. We will assess whether we can help and suggest an appropriate first step.
